• The heart of the home is definitely the open plan living area on the 2^nd floor, comprising of a well-equipped kitchen (with gas hob and microwave), dining area, and living area. On the balcony you will find a gorgeous outdoor seating area with commanding views over Howells Mere. This part of the Estate is bustling with wildlife!
• Built in fridge/freezer and dishwasher in the kitchen, washer/dryer in separate utility room on the same floor
• Highchair and Travel Cot provided free of charge at the property for you.
• Wood burning stove – during the colder months Cotswold Sleeps will provide a starter pack of logs and fire lighters as part of your welcome pack
• Bed linen and towels provided

Lower Mill Estate also has two tennis courts, two children’s play areas, a soft play area and 450 acres of private nature reserve with lakeside walks and cycle routes. Wildlife includes over-wintering wildfowl, otters, owls, bats, deer, and the first European Beavers to be introduced in England.

“Paddle boarding a must!”

Had a lovely week at Sorrel House. A very well equipped house and facilities on site. We had a couple of lovely meals at the Thameshead Inn. Lots of activities on site for the kids and grown ups. Paddle boarding is a must! – Aug 24 RS

“Wonderfully comfortable beds!”

Just returned home from a glorious weekend at Lower Mill Estate, staying in the superbly laid out Sorrel House. Situated right on Howell’s Mere, we could watch the kids paddle boarding and jumping in the water for hours while we enjoyed coffee on the deck (multiple decks!). I have trouble sleeping but had no issues at Sorrel House, I feel so rested after just 3 nights! Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home – July 24 SB

Great week spent here – lovey house and facilities. Plenty of activities for the 10 year old to enjoy during half term and plenty of lovely walks for the dogs. Enjoyed food at Ballihoo and the Potting Shed in Crudwell (highly recommend) and the Bakers Arms. “A wonderful base, the house beautifully accommodated our needs”

A wonderful base to stay and for family to come + stay for a few days. We loved the walks, the wildlife, the tranquility. The house beautifully accommodated our needs. We all either had relaxing massages at the spa or more intensive sports massages by the amazing Hannah Hollowood. Lots to do on days out – we enjoyed afternoon tea at the Swan, Bibury + Cotswold Wildlife Park is really good. Highly recommend the dog friendly ‘Potting Shed’ at Crudwell. “A great and comfortable, relaxing time”

We had a lovely stay for a 21st birthday. The cottage is lovely and we ate outside viewing the lake regularly, as the views are very nice. We enjoyed the paddle boarding on the lake yesterday as it was very tranquil. We’ve also enjoyed football, a trip to the Abbey Grounds in Cirencester and did tubing on a nearby lake. We had a lovely evening meal at the Falcon Inn @ Poulton too! Overall we had a great and comfortable, relaxing time. Thank you! July 2021 JR

Here for a 70th birthday celebration with all the family. Plenty of room for us all and a lovely, very well equipped house.6 year old twin boys made good use of the swimming pool and tennis courts and plenty of dog walking opportunities. Enjoyed watching wild life especially swifts and dragonflies. Recommend the Masons Arms at Marston Meysey for Sunday lunch as it is dog friendly – July 2021 RFSorrel House is a well presented, detached property in a great waterside location, which sleeps 10 comfortably over 3 floors. The property enjoys large decking areas overlooking Howells Mere, perfect for a few sundowners or watching the family mucking about on the lake
