This is our 12th visit to Lower Mill Estate, we’ve been visiting since our boys were babies, now teenagers. We love all the rentals we have stayed in especially those properties which have full view of the Somerford Lagoon… our favourite lake. The house was lovely and well equipped and we had a restful break as usual. Always lovely to see Fiona and the team at the Spa and enjoy swimming and massages… essential ‘me’ time… The boys have enjoyed kayaking on the lake and visiting The Cotswold Range for archery and air rifle sessions. No doubt we’ll be back again soon. Got to do lots of fun activities and the conditions were great. Also, I appreciate the cheeky BBQ – Oct 2021 SS

Back again and another fantastic break. The houses have amazing views over the lake and are kept to a very high standard. The welcome Lemon Drizzle cake was an added bonus! Lower Mill has lots of on-site facilities including a heated indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, spa, gym, tennis courts and a restaurant. This is a great place for a weekend of mid-week break that caters for all ages. We hired bikes that were delivered from a local company and spent time cycling (also great for walkers) around the lakes and local footpaths. The Zoo is about a 30 minute drive and a good day out. Cirencester is also worth a visit. If you want a great UK based family break I would recommend you visit Cotswold Lake Houses. We will be back again next year! – RC
“views across Somerford Lagoon are it’s crowning glory”
Our second stay on the Lower Mill Estate at Kate’s wonderful house, Sandpipers. Lower Mill is the perfect base from which to explore the South Cotswolds. The site itself is excellent, really well maintained with a great little pool and spa. There are great walks on your doorstep around Somerford Lagoon, Flagham Fen and Howells Mere. Cirencester is fifteen minutes away and plenty of the Cotswolds’ attractions are within easy reach by car. We visited in February and the site was quiet, not sure how busy the estate would be in the summer months. Sandpipers is a fantastic house – the open plan living space on the first floor with amazing views across Somerford Lagoon are it’s crowning glory – Highly recommend – AK
“Excellent facilities in a delightful setting”
